Auto-classification by turnover
Enter annual turnover and Komply classifies you EME, QSE or Generic under the Amended Codes, then applies the right scorecard — including the enhanced-recognition rules that can lift a majority-Black-owned EME or QSE without a full verification.

An indicative scorecard on the Amended Codes
An indicative model of each element under the 2019 Amended Codes of Good Practice, with priority-element sub-minimums and the level knock-down applied, Modified Flow-Through ownership chains, and year-on-year period comparisons. Some sub-element lines are simplified from the gazette, so the level is a planning figure; the certificate stays with a SANAS-accredited agency.

Six sector codes and the Mining Charter, at indicative grade
AgriBEE, Construction, the Financial Sector Code, ICT, Property and Tourism are each scored on the code's own weights and turnover bands, and the Mining Charter (issued under the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, not as a B-BBEE code) on its three elements. The limits: a sector QSE is scored on its code's Large scorecard, except a qualifying small financial institution, which gets lines FS801 to FS805; a large financial institution is scored on 83 of the code's 120 points; the Mining Charter's community-development and housing gates are assumed met; a sector line Komply has no input for is approximated from the nearest Generic input, and the scorecard says so; and routes to the next level cover Generic and QSE scorecards only.

An audit-ready PDF evidence pack, and a share link with token-gated download, for your verifier, board or bank: they see how the indicative level was worked out. A buyer still needs your certificate or sworn affidavit. Each link expires after 30 days; after that, or once you revoke it, generate a new link (a new address) to share again.

Which B-BBEE scorecard applies to my business?
Annual turnover decides it. On the Generic Codes, R10 million or less makes you an EME — no scorecard, a sworn affidavit. More than R10 million and less than R50 million makes you a QSE. At R50 million or more, the full Generic scorecard applies. Sector codes, such as Tourism's, set their own bands. Komply classifies you automatically and applies the matching elements and thresholds, for the Generic Codes, six sector codes and the Mining Charter.

Can Komply give me a B-BBEE certificate?
No — and treat any software that claims otherwise with suspicion. Certificates come from SANAS-accredited verification agencies; EMEs use affidavits. Komply models the scorecard so you walk into verification with an indicative level and, on Pro, the evidence pack already assembled.

How is this different from the free B-BBEE estimator?
The free estimator gives you an indicative position from a handful of inputs. The full module holds your complete element data, applies priority sub-minimums and ownership flow-through, tracks changes across periods and, on Pro, produces the audit-ready evidence pack. The estimator tells you roughly where you stand; the module models it element by element.
